How to buy

Four steps from order to scanning

  1. Choose an edition

    Basic for the scan, Full for a two-month project, or a subscription for ongoing work. Companies pick a seat pack.

  2. Place your order

    Use the order form below. You'll get payment instructions back by email.

  3. Get your key

    We email your product key, a line like Product Key: JPF-7K2QD-… Get the program from the Download page.

  4. Activate and scan

    Start the program, type the key, and activate. Offline activation works with no internet on site.

A few seconds, once it's switched on

Type your product key and press Activate online. The license locks to that PC and refreshes itself when a subscription renews. Until online activation goes live, every key activates offline in a few minutes.

Offline activation

For mechanical rooms with no signal

  1. Type your key and press Offline activation.
  2. Copy or save the request code and email it to [email protected].
  3. Import the license file you get back.

Before you buy

Is it safe to run on a live building network?

The MultiTool is for viewing and diagnosing network traffic. It does not write values or change device settings. Scans are throttled to keep the extra traffic low. Only scan networks you have the owner's permission to work on.

Can I run it while my BAS front-end is open?

Yes. When BACnet port 47808 is already taken on your laptop, the BACnet scan uses another port and can register with the site's BBMD as a foreign device.

Which MS/TP adapters work?

Common USB RS-485 adapters based on Silicon Labs, FTDI, Prolific and CH340 chips. The program finds the adapter when you plug it in and can detect the trunk's baud rate.

Does the program send my scan results anywhere?

No. Everything it finds stays on your PC. It only goes online to fetch the public IEEE vendor list. Details are in our privacy statement.

Does it need the internet?

No. Everything runs on your laptop. You only need a connection to activate online, and you can activate offline instead.

What happens when my Full key or subscription ends?

The full tools lock. If you also own Basic, the program keeps running as Basic. Enter a new key or renew your subscription to unlock everything again.

I got a new laptop. Can I move my license?

Yes. Email [email protected] with the machine ID from the License tab on the old and new laptops and we'll move the seat. Once online activation is live, Full and Subscription customers can also do it themselves with Deactivate this PC.

Does it run on Mac or Linux?

The packaged program is for Windows 10 and 11.

How do company seat packs work?

One product key with the number of seats you buy. Each seat activates on one PC. Packs of 5 seats or more are 10% off.
